BENEFITS PROVIDED


Since 2019, the Gold Shield Foundation of North Carolina has been committed to creating lasting relationships with our beneficiaries and their families. Below are the primary benefits we offer to the families of our fallen heroes:



  • Immediate financial assistance to the families of fallen first responders to assist with funeral and other unexpected expenses after an incident.


  • Financial aid for the surviving spouse and children of the fallen who wish to attend college or graduate school.


  • Grants for accredited Law Enforcement, Fire - Rescue and other first responder agencies in North Carolina. Please visit our Grant Application page for more information.


  • Periodic "appreciation campaigns" for first responders and their families. Campaigns may include gift cards, events, meals and providing other items at the discretion of our Board of Directors.


OUR MISSION

  

The Gold Shield Foundation of North Carolina is a registered 501(c)(3), non-profit organization based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The foundation was founded in 2019 to assist the families of North Carolina's fallen and critically injured first responders in times of greatest need. 


Foundation operations are funded entirely by charitable contributions from concerned citizens and corporations and does not receive government funding. The Gold Shield Foundation of North Carolina is governed by its own internal board of directors and is not a government related entity.
